In this section, MAD would like to acknowledge the successes and achievements of members of the MAD family who have distinguished themselves, whether it be in training, competition, academics, coaching, giving back to the community, or whatever their chosen endeavor. We applaud their dedication and determination in pursuing their passions, and we celebrate their efforts as well as their outcomes. Congratulations!

Staff


Eric Bringas - Completed his Masters in Science at Concordia University, Chicago. Eric’s Masters was in Exercise Science with his Master’s Thesis on Blood Flow Restriction Training.


Dominique Conlu - Matriculated at the University of California, San Diego. Dominique will pursue her Bachelor of Arts degree in Videography.


Alumni: These are athletes who have trained with MAD, or with whom MAD Director John Murray has had the privilege to work during his lengthy career.


Ali Thomas - Hired as an Assistant Athletic Director and Assistant Boys Varsity Basketball Coach at Saint Ignatius College Prep.


Sione Taufoou - Hired as Head Varsity Football Coach at Archbishop Mitty.


Phil Handy - Hired as Assistant Coach, Player Development Coordinator by the N.B.A.’s Toronto Raptors.


Olatunde Sobomehin - As C.E.O. & Lead Servant, has led Street Code Academy to amazing accomplishments in their first two years of operation.


Sue Bird - Won the 2018 W.N.B.A. Championship with her Seattle Storm Team, Bird’s third W.N.B.A. Championship.


Steph Curry - Led his Golden State Warriors Team to their third N.B.A. Championship in four years.


The Cage: Under the direction of Coach Ryan Munoz, The Cage is MAD’s location in Redwood City where the following athletes trained.


John Mills- Committed to Washington and Lee for Lacrosse. John has been training with MAD since middle school and is now entering his Senior year at Menlo Atherton.


Riley Grigsby- Riley graduated from Archbishop Mitty in the spring. He will attend Seattle University to play basketball and get his education. Riley has been training with MAD since his Junior year at Mitty.


Donovan Wilson- Donovan graduated from Archbishop Mitty in the spring. He will attend University of Puget Sound to play basketball and get his education. Donovan trained with MAD in the off season prior to leaving for school.


Eric DeBrine- Eric graduated from Sacred Heart Prep in the spring. He will attend Tufts University to play basketball and get his education. Eric has been training with MAD since his Junior year at SHP.


Charlotte Levison- Charlotte is entering her Junior year at Sacred Heart Prep. Charlotte worked hard throughout the off season to increase her vertical jump by 4 inches as well as staying healthy throughout the summer AAU circuit. She’s ready for a great Junior season.


Institute of Physical Culture: The IPC is a MAD program directed by Head Coach Eric Bringas in San Francisco, in which the following athletes trained.


Doug Parrish - Signed with the Canadian Football League’s British Columbia Lions.


Matthew Redmond- Matt graduated from St. Ignatius in the spring and made the SF Chronicle Honorable Mention for his senior season at SI. He will attend Denison University to play basketball and get his education. Matt has been training with MAD since his Sophomore year at SI.


Brandon Beckman- Brandon graduated from St. Ignatius in the spring and also made the SF Chronicle Honorable Mention for his senior season at SI. He will attend Chicago University to play basketball and get his education. Brandon has been training with MAD since his Sophomore year at SI.


Miles Amos- Miles is entering his Senior year at Stuart Hall. Miles worked hard throughout the off season to increase his vertical jump by 3.5 inches, as well as rehabbing a previously knee injury to full health. Miles is ready for his final season with Stuart Hall and hopes to make it back and win the CIF State D4 Final.


Jack Coulter- Jack is entering his Junior year at Denison University. Following a big Sophomore season with The Big Red, and setting a new program record of 10 3-pointers. Jack came back home and trained hard throughout this past off-season increasing his vertical jump by 3 inches. Jack has been training with MAD since his Junior year of high school at St. Ignatius.

Andre Campbell- Andre is entering his Junior year at Oberlin College. Andre had a great Sophomore season he played and started in all 26 games and finished with a career high game 29 points. Andre trained hard throughout this past off-season increasing his vertical jump 3 inches. Andre has been training with MAD since his Junior year of high school at Urban School of San Francisco.


Soon Ja Elzy- Soon Ja is entering her Freshman year at St. Ignatius. Soon Ja worked hard throughout the off season to increase her vertical jump by 2.5 inches as well as staying healthy throughout the summer AAU circuit. She’s ready for a great Freshman season.
