Born and raised in Stockton, CA. He then attended Fresno State University and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Health and Rehabilitation Sciences with a Pre-Physical Therapy option. During his time as an undergraduate Ryan worked in both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy centers as a therapy aide. Following graduation, Ryan decided rehabilitation was not for him and pursued a career in strength and conditioning.


Ryan worked in personal training for 2 years in Fresno, CA, before deciding to pursue a graduate degree in Kinesiology at San Francisco State. During his time training in Fresno, he worked with a variety of populations from older adults to young athletes.  Upon starting his graduated program at San Francisco State in 2012, Ryan earned his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

While completing his graduate studies, Ryan continued to work as a Strength Coach. He worked with Terra Nova High School’s football program for 2 seasons, one of which resulted in a CCS Title for the Tigers. He has also worked independently with young athletes from all sports in the San Francisco Area. In 2013 Ryan began a career in Corporate Fitness, leading group fitness and designing training programs for LinknedIN and Salesforce.


In the Fall of 2015, Ryan completed his Master’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology. Ryan’s thesis research while at SFSU examined the effects of Cordyceps Sinesis supplementation on Strength and Endurance Performance. 


In Spring 2016 Ryan began working with Murray Athletic Development as a Strength Coach.
